Welcome!  I am a political theorist and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholar in Health Policy at Harvard University.  My research focuses on liberal and democratic theory, religion and politics, bioethics, and health policy.  I received my Ph.D. in political science from Duke University in 2011.  I currently live in the Cambridge area with my wife, Amelia, and our three sons, Nathaniel, Samuel, and Arthur.
