R.N. and infection control specialist, Brenda Wilmoth Lerner's coverage public health and global issues is respected for its accuracy, objectivity, and passion in articulating contextual cultural and social connections. A cum laude graduate of Harvard University and Dean's Academic Achievement Award-winner, she is a member of the Vanderbilt and Harvard Alumni Associations.
Along with books named Outstanding Academic Titles, Lerner's portfolio covering global issues includes two RUSA Book and Media Award (see http://harvard.academia.edu/BrendaWilmothLerner). In her continuing role as an advisor and contributing editor for respected international news and academic resources, Lerner directed what critics termed "exceptionally fine" and "authoritative" coverage of SARS, H1N1, and other emerging disease outbreaks.
In 2008, Lerner completed a 19-leg global circumnavigation with her frequent media partner and LMG cofounder, K. Lee Lerner. As her professional schedule allows, she continues her graduate studies within the Division of Continuing Education at Harvard, with a focus on courses devoted to medical humanities and public health issues.
