Cesar Alvarez Alonso, Harvard University, is a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Global Law and Policy at Harvard Law School. He is also the Executive Director of RCC at Harvard. He is now conducting research on the legal implications of the refugee crisis from a comparative perspective.
Cesar is also Chair of the Steering Group on Strategy and Management, at the European Association for International Education. He co-chairs the "Internationalization and Innovation in Higher Education" and "Private Investment in Education" Study Groups, RCC at Harvard. He is also a Board member of the Harvard European Law Association. He has extensive experience at international level, as EU Observer in the EUALC process, member of the Spain-USA Fulbright Commission, national representative in the IPN-Bologna Follow-Up Group, among others. He has also recently been international observer representing the OSCE in the US presidential election in 2016, as well as SIGMA-OECD external consultant for Public Administration and Governance Assessment in the Middle East.
In keeping with the interdisciplinary nature of modern research, César carries out research in multiple areas and collaborates with colleagues throughout the university and around the world. Among the main research fields:
