Introduction

I am interested in Japanese martial arts history and sociology.

This page is intended to serve three main roles:
1.) A repository for scanned pages of rare texts
2.) A place to share my own translations of some of these texts
3.) A way to distribute clear, retyped copies of some of these texts for one's own or professional translations

I realize that this page format is awkward and viewing the files is somewhat painful.  I hope to move the files to a better site in the future.  I may send electronic copies of the scans upon request.

In the meantime, please use the links on the left to open up text-specific pages and view/download scans and translations.

Finally, it should be noted that I am not a Harvard-affiliated scholar and this endeavor is not supported or endorsed by Harvard University; I am using this web hosting system out of convenience until I move it to a different host.
