Bio and CV

I am a job market candidate at the Harvard economics department, where I have been working in the PhD program in Political Economy and Government (Economics track) since 2011. My research interests are on the intersection of growth, innovation, and international trade.

Prior to Harvard, I obtained a PhD degree at the MIT computer science and artificial intelligence laboratory, where I worked on a number of interesting applications of machine learning techniques in neuroimaging. I received MSc and BSc degrees from the University of Tehran, Iran in 2005.
