I am a historian of modern Britain and a lecturer in History & Literature where I teach in the modern Europe field. I earned my PhD in history from Brown University in 2013. Before coming to Harvard, I taught at Brown and at Wheaton College. My current project, The Afterlife of Christian England, 1944 to the present explores the changing place of Christianity in England in a period typically seen solely in terms of secularization and decline. My research and teaching interests include the history of Britain and its empire, the history of religion, urban history, and the history of immigration and multiculturalism.
