I grew up in England, Ireland, and the Boston area. After college I was a journalist at several publications around New England, most recently the Dorchester Reporter in Boston. I have been a resident of the Dorchester neighborhood for many years, along with my wife Michelle and our two sons John and Michael. We are parishioners at Blessed Mother Theresa church, and I am a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in South Boston, as well as the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization and the Columbia-Savin Hill Civic Association. My interests include fiction, poetry, film, politics, running, basketball, and all the various codes of football: association, rugby union, rugby league, American, Aussie Rules, and GAA.
