This readme file describes the supplementary material that accompanies the book project "Global Production: A Contracting Perspective." 
These will enable you to replicate the tables and figures that are reported.


1. Datasets (.dta files) in Stata 13.1 format

a) The .dta file "related_party_naics.dta" contains the "raw" six-digit NAICS U.S. Related-Party Trade Database

b) The .dta file "related_party_io2002.dta" contains the constructed IO2002 U.S. Related-Party Trade Database

c) The .dta file "global_production_naics.dta" contains the "raw" six-digit NAICS U.S. Related-Party Trade Database merged with a few industry-level variables

d) The .dta file "global_production_io2002.dta" contains the constructed IO2002 U.S. Related-Party Trade flows merged with a few industry-level and country-level variables


2. Programs (do files) were written in Stata 13.1

a) The do file titled "analysis_chapter5_final.do" produces all of the tables presented in Chapter 5.

b) The do file titled "analysis_chapter8_final.do" produces all of the tables presented in Chapter 8.


Details on the construction of the respective variables can be found in the manuscript, particularly in its Data Appendix.
