I am a Russian historian specializing in eighteenth-century intellectual history. In particular, I am interested in the circulation of knowledge and in the way intellectual elites respond to changes in the way knowledge is produced and disseminated. I also write occasional longform pieces for publications such as n+1 and the London Review of Books. Finally, I am a Russian translator, primarily of academic work but also (recreationally) of poetry; in 2012 I was a recipient of the ROSSICA Young Translator Award.
