HGWISE is a group comprised of women graduate student that focuses on academic, career, and life issues.
As a member of the HGWISE executive board, I worked closely with departmental representatives, the administrative deans at Harvard, and the Office of Career Services at Harvard to develop, plan and run events that aided in building a community for women scientists and engineers.
Public Communication Intern

Over the course of a two week internship, I learned and developed different techniques and avenues for communicating science to the general public. The internship culminated in leading a hands-on demonstration at the museum on non-Newtonian fluids.
February 2007– May 2007
Organized and led elementary school girls through engineering projects in a weekly after school program.
