I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University and part of the Harvard Business School-Harvard Medical School Innovation Lab.

In the Fall of 2012, I will join the Stockholm School of Economics at the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) as an Assistant Professor.

My research areas are labor economics, the economics of science and innovation, international development and economic history.

Much of my work is focused on the behavior of high-skilled "knowledge" workers - scientists and engineers.  I also work on other topics related to how individuals acquire and use their skills, particularly on science and innovation, immigration, and gender issues.
