I'm writing a book on the origins and development of Mesopotamian urbanism, tentatively titled The Evolution of Mesopotamian Cities. I'm happy to say that it's now under contract with Oxford University Press. It will synthesize my ideas about cities, their origins, and their impacts on their landscapes over five thousand years of history.
