Kim Pernell-Gallagher is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Harvard University.  Her areas of interest include organizations, regulation, banking, institutional corruption, and financial crisis.  In 2012-2013, she will be a research fellow at the Lab for Institutional Corruption at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University.  

Her dissertation explores the evolution of banking regulation in three countries that experienced very different outcomes during the recent global financial crisis. Her qualifying paper examined how organizational processes drove the diffusion of collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) among U.S. publicly traded banks.
