Modern drama and Strindberg enthusiasts at Harvard and in the greater Boston area are invited to participate in a Strindberg Symposium at Harvard on March 2-3, 2012 in honor of the centennial of the death of this pioneering modern playwright, novelist, polemicist, poet, and painter. This event features, among other things, a Theater Workshop led by A.R.T. founding director Robert Brustein, Professor David Krasner of Emerson College, and Ture Rangström, Artistic Director of Strindberg's Intimate Theater in Stockholm. We welcome the involvement of the theater community, the Scandinavian community, and general audiences. RSVPs requested but not required: StrindbergHarvard@gmail.com. A complete schedule of events can be found at http://www.scandinavianstudiesharvard.com/site/Strindberg.html. All events are free and open to the public.
