Welcome! I'm a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Government at Harvard and a member of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science. My research interests include political methodology, including automated content analysis in Chinese and English and ecological inference; Chinese politics, including the politics and censorship of the Chinese blogosphere, and international political economy topics including trade politics and the politics of surplus countries.
Currently, I'm working on a variety of projects including sentiment and censorship in the Chinese blogosphere (with Jennifer Pan and Gary King), eiR a program for ecological inference (with Gary King), and adding covariates to topic models (with Brandon Stewart and Edo Airoldi).
Prior to attending Harvard, I received a M.S. in Statistics and B.A. in International Relations and Economics from Stanford University.
