During my studies in Chemistry (B.S., Athens, Greece) and BioOrganic Chemistry (M.S., Paris, France), my rising interest in how the brain works led me to opt for a PhD in Neurobiology (Bern, Switzerland). Very soon I got fascinated by the powerful role of physiology in studying basic functions of the brain and I joined the Murthy lab to an exciting journey towards the understanding of information processing in neural circuits. My research goal is to elucidate the role of cortical centrifugal fibers in odor processing in the rodent olfactory bulb, using a combination of optogenetics with slice and in vivo electrophysiology
