Hello!

My name is Noora and I'm a second-year Master's student in Computational Biology & Quantitative Genetics at the Harvard T. H. Chan School.

  • For details on my research projects, awards, publications, skills, etc, please check my full resume/CV.
  • For a list of advanced coursework that I took in my Bachelor's and Master's programs, please check my coursework page.

I’m fascinated by the intersection of computer science, genomics, machine learning, and data science. I enjoy the challenges of applying statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse genome sequencing and biomedical data.  In addition, I’m interested in designing novel, correct, and efficient algorithms to solve biological problems.

I'm currently doing my thesis at the Van Allen lab at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. I'm also involved in Dr. William Hanage's lab at the  Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics

If you are a friend/someone I know and you're in the Boston/Cambridge, MA area, then hit me up! I love meeting and catching up with people :]
