Introductory course to Thai language. Students interested in learning Thai for academic, professional, and other purposes are encouraged to enroll regardless of their prior knowlede of Thai language. The course is to prepare students for a series of Thai courses to follow to help students become fluent in the use of Thai language to read, write, and communicate orally. Students with some backgrounds in Thai language studies might be interested in Thai 102a: Intermediate Thai I, Thai 103ar: Readings in Thai I, and Thai 3000: Readings and Research.
