Mohammad Noshad is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Harvard. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2013, under the supervision of Prof. Maite Brandt-Pearce. His PhD dissertation was on the Applications of Combinaorial Designs to Communication Systems. He is now working on the Statistical Machine Learning and Data Mining in Prof. Vahid Tarokh's group. His research interests include Communication Theory; Information and Coding Theory; Data Mining; Optical Communications; Combinatorial Designs and Visible Light Communications. He is a co-founder of VLNComm LLC, a pioneer in developing visible light communications.
