Nicole Saxon is a Master of Divinity student at Harvard Divinity School, focusing on African & African American Religions. Her work explores the intersectionality of race, religion, medicine, counseling, mental health and healing in the lives of African American women.
Her research areas include African American Christian healing practices, sexuality in Haitian Vodou and culturally competent spiritual care and counseling.
Before coming to HDS, she worked in the broadcasting field with C-SPAN, in the non-profit realm with WAND (Women's Actions for New Directions) and in the international arena with CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) & the Peace Corps in the former Soviet Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
