Curriculum Vitae

As an evolutionary biologist, my research tackles fundamental questions about the evolution of marine invertebrates.

My main interest stands in understanding the evolutionary processes driving genetic diversity and speciation in coral reef associate invertebrates in general and in bivalves in particular.

To answer these questions I combine field work, and molecular biology tools such as phylogenetics, phylogeography and population genetics.

My latest projects apply Next Generation Sequencing data as a powerful tool to untangle complex phylogenetic relationships among non model mollusc species.
