Seth Herbst is currently a third-year graduate student in English at Harvard University, where he studies Renaissance literature and music. After graduating from Harvard College in 2008, Seth spent a year teaching English in rural Japan. Now back in Cambridge, Seth is working on a doctoral dissertation investigating the topic of Milton and music. Other academic interests include the lyric in all periods, with special attention to Dickinson and Yeats, as well as opera, ballet, and the art of the piano.
