Bio/CV

Stanley H. Chan is a post-doctoral research fellow in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Department of Statistics at Harvard University. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, and the M.A. degree in Mathematics, both from the University of California, San Diego, in 2011 and 2009, respectively, and the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 2007. His current research interests include signal processing, applied statistics, and numerical optimization for large-scale data. Dr. Chan is a recipient of the Croucher Foundation Fellowship for Post-doctoral Research 2012-2013 and the Croucher Foundation Scholarship for Full-time Overseas PhD Studies 2008-2010.
