Vincent Cervantes' research and writing focuses on Latin American and Latino/a religions and theologies, queer identities and performance, religion and literature, the role of religion and sexuality in colonialism and postcolonialism, and comparative liberation theologies. He is currently working on two book-length projects. The first critically examines the relationship between the "ex-gay" movement alongside deliverance and spiritual warfare Chrisitanity. The second explores ways of reconceptualizing sex and sexuality as as site of queer resistance and space.
