In our Harvard Library Lab sponsored project, Wolbach UX first focused on experimentation with gesture-based systems in the library setting but narrowed our goal to working with touch-based systems running the MS Surface SDK. We received help from MS Research in the beginning and have benefitted through a collaboration with the Brown University Computer Graphics Group. We love their software called the Large Artwork Display on the Surface (LADS) and have adapted it to meet a number of scenarios at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics John G. Wolbach Library. We now have a proof of concept ready and are hoping to partner with the Cabot Science Library and the Simmons College GSLIS Usability Lab.
