About

Dr. Ahmed M. Abdelfattah is a Harvard Presidential Scholar and a graduate of the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Ahmed received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B., B. Ch.) in 2008 and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pediatric Medicine and Neonatology in 2013 from the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. In 2014, he joined the Dana-Farber/Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt Pediatric Oncology Fellowship. In 2017, he was appointed as the Outpatient and Emergency Department Manager at the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Egypt, a position that he held through July 2018, when he joined the Health Management MPH at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

His work focuses on health services administration, clinical informatics and global health. His research interests include EHR systems user interface and interoperability, optimizing patient care workflows, patient-centric digital health applications, and technology-driven approaches to creating better health care systems.
