PhD research

In my PhD, I started out studying arousal mechanisms in the model system of the larval zebrafish. Broadly, I studied how brain cells translate sensory information into behavior.

My recent article appearing in Current Biology was featured on my department's website.

I strongly believe in the scientist's role in communicating research to the public. In that spirit, I gave a talk on how scientists study memory for a lay audience at the Harvard Medical School in 2010.
