Alex Creighton, a seventh-year graduate student in English at Harvard University, is currently completing a dissertation called "Fiction's Metronomes: Music, Time, and the Eighteenth-Century British Novel." He has a secondary field in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. He has published peer-reviewed articles in The Journal of Victorian Culture, The Emily Dickinson Journal, and Short Fiction in Theory and Practice, with others forthcoming and under review.
