Bio

Ammar Najjar, RN, MSc, CPHQ is a nurse practitioner and Surgical Service Manager. Ammar has served in different clinical and leadership positions in Palestine and UAE over the last 10 years. Currently holds a position as a Surgical Services Manager at Shaikh Shakhbout Medical City in partnership with Mayo Clinic. 

Ammar's areas of professional interest include Commissioning and Activation of Healthcare Facilities, Flow Process Design, and Surgical Operations.

Ammar obtained his undergraduate degree of Science in Nursing from An Najah National University, Palestine before pursuing his master’s degree in Healthcare Management. Ammar obtained a focused course in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement: Developing a Systems View from Johns Hopkins University that led him to pursue another focused course in Nursing Informatics Leaders from the University of Minnesota and a Healthcare Economics focused course from the University of Pennsylvania.
