I am a physicist working at the interface between physics, ecology and evolution and I am especially interested in the understanding of microbial growth in fluctuating environments and the emergence of scaling patterns in ecology. I adopt a combination of experimentation using microbial microcosms and theoretical investigation using concepts and methods of Statistical Physics to understand how environmental fluctuations and heterogeneities affect ecological and evolutionary spatial dynamics.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Physics with David Nelson and the Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology with Andrew Murray at Harvard University.
