I completed a PhD in sociology at Harvard University. In 2019-2020, I was a Dissertation Scholar at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.

My dissertation research examined wealth inequality by gender in the United States. I looked at trends in the gender wealth gap over the past three decades, changes in the gender wealth gap over the life course, and wealth inequality between husbands and wives. I have also studied crime and criminal justice, including the causal effect of employment on crime for juvenile offenders and the high rates of dropout in residential drug treatment.

At Harvard, I was a Malcolm Hewitt Wiener PhD scholar in the Multidisciplinary Program in Inequality and Social Policy, an affiliate at the Center for Population and Development Studies, and an affiliate at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science. I received a BA in sociology from Yale University.
