Bio

Arnold is a First Generation API College Graduate and Ed.M Candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He was born and raised in Southeast San Diego, California where he developed his aspirations for social justice, financial liberation, and equitable access to higher education for underrepresented students.

With the enriching experiences and knowledge I will gain through my individually customized curriculum, mixed with the hands-on experience from the internship and applied learning opportunities, I am confident that HGSE is the perfect environment for me to grow as a solution-oriented scholar-practitioner. I envision creating and leading a nonprofit community-based organization in San Diego where I will implement innovative practices to improve access and retention for marginalized students. As a proud educational leader of color, I will uplift students to push beyond the boundaries of their circumstances and be the mentor and leader my community continues to need today
