Dr. Anna Beukenhorst is a healthcare informatician with a broad data science skillset and interdisciplinary background. She holds a Ph.D. in Digital Epidemiology and Data Science from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Amsterdam. In graduate school, she specialized in data science methods for converting complex data from smartphones and smartwatches into clinically meaningful exposures and outcomes. At the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health she focuses on statistical methods for real-time analysis of health and behavior data from smartphones in the Onnela Lab.
When Anna is not immersed in data analysis, she likes to write essays on science and technology (see this essay), or convince young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and/or math.
