Our Legacy
In 2017, Black Graduate students across the University saw the need for a Black grauduation For Us, By Us. In pursuit of getting funding and formal recognition from the University, the Harvard Black Graduation Student Alliance was formed.
Since then, the organization has existed as a hub connecting students across the University to support one another in unity. We exist to elevate the work being done across schools, advocate for better conditions for all Black Graduate students, and create a space to be in community with one another.
We our proud to promote and preserve the historical, cultural, social, and intellectual contributions of Black Graduate students at Harvard. We are Educators. We are Lawyers. We are Doctors. We are Researchers. We are the Black Graduate Student Alliance. Harvard Black Graduation is our legacy.
