Welcome to Yasin's website!

Yasin's research interests lie at the intersection of comparative politics and conflict analysis and resolution. Relying on machine learning, Bayesian statistics, formal modelling and game theory, Yasin examines the importance as well as effects of civil-political violence on political parties. Currently, he analyses how the negotiation positions of political parties change before and after elections in their election manifestos by benefiting from the Comparative Manifesto Project and Uppsala Conflict Data Program data. His analysis is built upon the first large-N, unique dataset consisting of both quantitatively and qualitatively derived observations available from 56 countries, 663 elections, 977 parties and 3858 manifestos.
