I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Prof. Pamela Silver at Harvard Medical School and the Wyss Institute in Boston, MA. I also work very closely with Prof. Georg Gerber at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
In January 2020, I will be starting my own lab as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech.
I am broadly interested the gut microbiome, especially in its therapeutic modulation. My research focuses on utilizing bacteriophages, non-toxic viruses that specifically target bacteria, to understand inter-bacterial interactions in the gut. I am also leveraging tools in synthetic biology and biomaterials engineering to develop new approaches in therapeutically treating microbiome associated diseases.
