I received my PhD from the English Department at Harvard University in May of 2016, and currently work as a research assosciate at Harvard's Hutchins Center for African and African-American Research, in addition to teaching online courses in American poetry at the Harvard Extension School. 

My primary research areas are the nineteenth-century British novel and narrative theory, while my teaching experience includes work in courses covering a range of topics in nineteenth and twentieth century British, American, and African-American literature, as well as freshman composition. My dissertation examines forms of counterfactual plotting in the nineteenth century novel. I have published articles in The Wallace Stevens Journal, Dickens Quarterly, and Narrative. 

I did my undergraduate work at Princeton, where I wrote my senior thesis on genre in the novels of Dickens. Before coming to Harvard, I also spent time in Jerusalem studying classical Jewish texts.
