L105 - Evidence-Based Leadership in Education (Teaching Fellow)

Semester:

Spring

Offered:

2020

Effective leadership in the education sector increasingly requires the ability to draw on multiple sources of evidence to inform policy and programmatic decisions. This course surveys key concepts in performance measurement, research design, and data analysis that Ed.L.D. students will need to be skilled consumers of published education research, commissioners of policy and program evaluations, and interpreters of quantitative and qualitative data generated by their own organizations. Through case studies of evidence use (and misuse), students will also consider how to make the use of appropriate evidence integral to organizational decision-making processes.
