Currently, Cindy spends her time between Canada and Portugal as an Academic Researcher and Writer. Her research interests include Emergencing Tech, Public Policy, Digital Privacy Law, Health Tech, Immigration, and Entrepreneurship.

She holds two Bachelor degrees in International Relations and Italian Literature from the University of Calgary and a Master in Multimedia and Web Design from Touro College in New York where she graduated top of her class as Valedictorian and Commencement Speaker. She gave a commenement speech at Lincoln Center in front of 5000 graduating students in 2015. In 2019, Cindy graduated from Harvard with an ALM in Sustainability and won the Commencement Speaker Prize.
