Alexandra Ciomek is a postdoctoral scholar at the Mansueto Insitute of Urban Innovation and the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago. Her research interests include crime and deviance, urban sociology, the life course, policing, social networks, and quantitative methods. She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from Harvard University, as well as an M.S. in Criminology from the University of Pennsylvania.  In addition to her academic work, Ciomek served as a Rappaport Institute Public Policy Fellow in 2015.
