Biography

Craig W. McFarland is a senior concentrating in Neuroscience & Philosophy with a secondary in Global Health & Health Policy. He serves President & Founder of the Harvard Undergraduate Ethics Society where he helps lead the Harvard Ethics and Bioethics Debate teams. His interests lie in the pathophysiology and etiology of neuropsychiatric disorders and moral philsophy, with a focus on deontological frameworks and value theory. He conducts neuroethics research with Dr. Francis X. Shen at the Harvard Center of Bioethics and neurocognition research with Dr. Christy Denckla at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, works on science and health policy with the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, and engages in volunteering efforts related to homelessness and domestic violence.
