Dr. Chiara S. Haller started her career in the Arts. As a visual artist, who graduated in both dance and music, she built the foundation of her research in creativity, and her clinical work with athletes and artists. Throughout her graduate work, Dr. Haller was invested in both the creation of a new model of measurement of the creative person, as well as the influence of creativity in clinical samples, and their relatives. She specialized in neuropsychology, differential and personality psychology, diagnostics, and Psychopathology during her graduate studies. She started her residency in clinical psychology, continued in clinical neuropsychology (specialization in diagnostics and treatment of individuals with TBI), emergency/disaster psychology and received her license in clinical psychology and her board certification in emergency/disaster psychology. Dr. Haller was invited to Harvard for her research on creativity in 2009, and after the reception of a grant by the Swiss national Science Foundation, joined the Faculties of Arts and Sciences as a Post-doctoral Fellow in 2010. She continued her clinical neuropsychology training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Harvard Medical School (specialization in diagnostics and treatment of individuals with psychotic disorders). In 2013 Dr. Haller was invited to join the Harvard Medical School faculty were she continued her research and clinical work, as well as supervision of residents and trainees. Dr. Haller is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of Massachusetts and New York. As an expert in Enriched Supportive Therapy, as well as Cognitive Enhancement Therapy, she provided treatment and supervision at BIDMC, MMHC, and the Spot, and is currently doing research supported by her own grant, and seeing patients in private practice.
