Marilena Dania is Teaching Fellow at Harvard Summer School | PSYC S-1507: Psychology of Diversity.

She has earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Psychology cum laude at the Harvard Extension School and her Master of Science in 'Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy' at the University of Strathclyde.

Focusing her professional interests on diverse populations and LGBTQ issues; Marilena has earned accredited certification by the Harvard Medical School for the Professional Program: LGBTQ Health as Clinical Practice. Upon graduation from the Harvard Extension School, she was awarded the 'Dean's List Academic Achievement Award ' and the 'Derek Bok Public Service Prize' and medal for her advocacy achievements for LGBTQ+ mental health. 

 

Currently, she is research assistant to Professor Mona Sue Weissmark, on the course book: The Science of Diversity (Oxford University Press). Her graduate research thesis on 'Professional Skills Development in Encounter Group Training' was presented at the 2020 APA Convention.
