I am currently a postdoctoral associate at Yale University department of economics. I finished my PhD degree at the Harvard economics department in 2017, and will be joining Boston College economics department as an assistant professor in September 2018. My research interests are on the intersection of growth, innovation, and international trade.
Prior to Harvard, I obtained a PhD degree at the MIT computer science and artificial intelligence laboratory, where I worked on a number of interesting applications of machine learning techniques in neuroimaging. I received MSc and BSc degrees from the University of Tehran, Iran in 2005.
