Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition, Singapore 2017
ZenAuto's goal was to help build emotionally aware cars by leveraging state of the art affective computing and computer vision technology. We aimed to use traditional RGB cameras mounted in the rear-view mirror of the car to track facial expressions and extract both heart rate and respiration rate using non-contact photoplethysmography. ZenAuto's machine learning technology was then able to use this information to infer the emotional state of both driver and passengers, and detect potentially fatal medical conditions such as cardiac arrhythmias.
In 2017, we participated in the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition in Singapore, where we were selected as finalists among hundreds of international startups competing, and were awarded significant seed money.
