David R. Pletta, MPH is a PhD student in Population Health Sciences at Harvard University. His affiliations include the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and The Fenway Institute. David has worked in sexual and gender minority (SGM) health research for nearly a decade, with recent positions including Epidemiology Analyst at The Fenway Institute and Clinical Research Specialist at Boston Children's Hospital.

David's research interests include: 1) applying social and psychiatric epidemiology to SGM health; 2) the etiology and development of mood disorders; and 3) barriers/facilitators to managing chronic psychiatric conditions.

David earned an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Boston University School of Public Health. He also holds a BS in Cognitive Science and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
