I work as a statistician at the VA Boston Healthcare System, where I collaborate with clinicians and interdisciplinary teams on clinical research involving data from electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical trials at the VA.  I am interested in developing methods and applications that translate the rich information captured in EHRs and other healthcare data into insights to help improve patient care.  Specific areas of research include causal inference, integration of randomized and observational data, and comparative effectiveness research.  Previously I was a PhD student in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where I worked on developing methods to facilitate causal inference in pragmatic settings with imperfectly captured data.
