I am the Raphael Morrison Dorman Memorial Postdoctoral Fellow in Harvard University's Weatherhead Scholars Program. I receive my Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University in November 2020. I received my B.A. in Middle East Studies and Arabic, with a minor in Modern Hebrew, from Brigham Young University in 2013.
I study intragroup atttiudes and norms in situations of conflict, with a particular focus on Israel and Palestine. I address questions such as: How do members of ethnic groups form attitudes and develop ingroup norms toward others, and how can we change those attitudes and norms to improve intergroup relations? I also study the role of social media, misinformation, and conspiracy theories in the Middle East. In both of these research agendas, I use a diverse set of methodological approaches, including lab and survey experiments, natural experiments, and computational textual analysis.
