Taking Count is a phone and on-line survey that is taking the pulse of how San Francisco Bay area residents are doing these days. Results will help us to better understand and educate the public and policy-makers about Bay area residents’ economic well-being.

Researchers at the University of California at Berkeley are following over 3000 people, asking them about work, housing, and the joys as well as challenges of living in the Bay area. We first talked to residents in the summer of 2018. Follow-up interviews will take place in fall 2018 and early 2019.
