I am a PhD Candidate in Population Health Sciences based in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Much of my research focuses on occupational exposure to vicarious trauma and working conditions of "helping professionals" from a Total Worker Health perspective. I also seek to embed a mixed-methods community-based approach in my research, with active collaborations with abuse intervention programs, addiction treatment facilities, and healthcare organizations.

As a licensed social worker and social epidemiologist, my research is heavily influenced by my practice experience. Prior to returning for my doctorate, I managed a hospital-based community health worker program as well as supervised intimate partner violence prevention and counseling services in Philadelphia. I have also worked in the fields of environmental justice, HIV/AIDS, addiction, and homelessness in Minneapolis and New Orleans.
